Jalen Green and the Houston Rockets took off resoundingly, weathering the furious Dallas Mavericks rally before playing spoiler to Klay Thompson’s historic night.
Green fired 23 points as the Rockets put out key counters to every Mavericks’ late baskets to hack out a 108-102 road win on Friday, November 1 (PH Time).

Green added 12 rebounds and continued his streak of scoring 20 points or more to five games to start the season.

Alperen Sengun and Dillon Brooks each had 17 markers, Tari Eason added 15 off the bench, and Jabari Smith Jr. chipped in 14 points.
Meanwhile, Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving did the heavy lifting for the Mavericks with a combined 57-point outing.
Dallas is playing its third game in the last four days and looked weary in the first three quarters, before a comeback attempt in the fourth fell short.

After trailing by as much as 23 points, the Mavericks roared back and cut the Rockets' lead to three points, 100-97, after a Doncic triple with 2:07 left in regulation.

Earlier, Houston gained early momentum and built a 34-21 lead in the opening frame as raced to a fast start and scored 10 quick points.
They then expanded their lead to 23 points at 82-59 after a Brooks dunk with 2:23 left in the third frame.
Houston will next play the surging Golden State Warriors next while Dallas continues its homestand against the Orlando Magic.
