Talk about a stinging comeback.

Miles Bridges and LaMelo Ball drained the clutch shots in the endgame to lead a stunning Charlotte Hornets upset of the Los Angeles Lakers, 100-97, that snapped a three-game skid, Thursday, February 20.

Bridges hit a clutch triple to give his squad a 93-90 lead with under two minutes left and finished with a team-high 29 markers.

Ball, meanwhile, scored the Hornets final four points including two clutch free throws to hand a slim 100-97 cushion with 6.1 ticks remaining. He tallied 27 points.

The Lakers had two chances to send the game to overtime, but LeBron James missed two triples in the game's final possession.

James played after sitting out the NBA All-Star Game a couple of days ago due to lingering ankle and foot discomfort and ended up with 26 points, 11 assists and seven rebounds. Luka Doncic had a 14-11-8 statline in his third game as a Laker.

It was the first meeting of both teams since the rescinded trade that centered around LA’s Dalton Knecht and Cam Reddish and Charlotte’s Mark Williams.

The Lakers travel to Portland to face the Trail Blazers (23-32) while the Hornets continue their nine-game road trip with Denver as their next stop to square off with the Nuggets (36-19).
