Bam Adebayo, Heat dominate Warriors to spoil Jimmy Butler’s Miami homecoming

Bam Adebayo made sure the Miami Heat gave their former superstar Jimmy Butler a rude welcome back in South Beach.

Adebayo unleashed 16 of his 27 points in the firsr half and the Heat delivered a 112-86 beating of Butler and the Golden State Warriors, Wednesday, March 26.

Tyler Herro added 20 markers, including hitting all of his four threes, on top of seven assists to help Miami win back-to-back games after a season-low 10-game losing skid.

Andrew Wiggins finished with 10 markers in his first game against his former team. The Heat (31-41) led by as many as 28 points to stay within striking distance of the no. 9 Chicago Bulls (32-40) for home-court advantage in the East Play-in battle. 

Meanwhile, Butler ended up with 11 markers as an opponent to the franchise he led two Finals appearances during his seven-year stint.

The Warriors (41-31) are 16-5 when Jimmy Butler is in the line-up as Golden State star Stephen Curry missed his second straight game due to a pelvic contusion.

Miami hosts the Atlanta Hawks (35-36) next while Golden State travels to New Orleans to fight the Pelicans (20-53).
