Just like what he did way back in the 2021 playoffs, Trae Young sent the New York Knicks packing--but this time in the NBA Cup.

Young registered a 22-point,11 assist double-double as the Atlanta Hawks knocked off the Knicks via 108-100 quarterfinal win, moving on in the next round of the NBA Cup, Thursday, December 12.

De'Andre Hunter came up big off the bench with 24 markers while Jalen Johnson finishing with a strong 21-point, 15-rebound double-double.

After trailing by as much as 12 points, the Hawks banked on a 34-18 third quarter to take a 81-72 lead entering the fourth.

With the win, the Hawks arrange a blockbuster semifinal duel against Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard and the Milwaukee Bucks.

On the other hand, Karl-Anthony Towns had monster 19-point, 19-rebound double double with Josh Hart topscoring the squad with 21.

Mikal Bridges also dropped 19 more while Jalen Brunson had 14 markers as the Knicks slipped to 15-10 for the season with the loss.
