Game of the year?

In an instant classic, the Los Angeles Lakers came to Chase and scored thrilling 145-144 double overtime win against the Golden State Warriors Sunday (PHL).

LeBron James nailed the game-winning free throws with a second to go, spoiling the earlier heroics of Steph Curry, who drilled a go-ahead three with 4.7 seconds remaining.

But before the two extra periods, the Warriors looked poised to take the game after coming out hot in the third quarter, building a 15-point lead at one point.

The Lakers, however, stormed back in the fourth quarter and actually took a three-point lead with 29 seconds to go in regulation.

After fouling Anthony Davis with just 20 seconds left in the game, the Lakers star forward split his free throws, and Curry cashed in on a layup on the other end to force the first overtime.

The Lakers still had multiple opportunities, taking a three-point lead after a pair of free throws from D’Angelo Russell with 11 seconds left.

But Klay Thompson had other plans, hitting a big-time three-pointer to tie the game at 130-all in the final six seconds, forcing double overtime.

The Lakers controlled most of the second OT, taking a five point lead. But Golden State relied on the Splash Brothers to keep in step, setting up the wild finish.

James finished with a historic 36 points, 20 rebounds, and 12 assists, becoming the first Laker since Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in 1976 to have a 30-20-10 game.

Anthony Davis, who left in the third quarter to a hip injury, came back and finished with 29 points, 13 rebounds, and four blocks. DLo fired 28 for the Lakers, including a big three that put Los Angeles up, 142-141, inside the final minute of the second overtime.

Curry scored 46 for the Warriors, drilling nine triples.

The win moves the Lakers above .500 with a 24-23 record, while the Warriors continue their struggles as they move to a 19-24 mark.
