The Los Angeles Lakers continue their dream start to the 2024-24 NBA season.

Using a perfect fourth quarter from the superstar duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis, the Lakers managed to hold off the Sacramento Kings for a 131-127 victory, moving to 3-0 for the year Sunday (PHL).

After losing a 15-point lead in the first half, the Lakers trailed by seven to start the fourth.

That’s when LeBron went to work, scoring 16 points in a vicious 21-0 run to turn the game around back in the Lakers’ favor.

But as Sacramento then again made it a game thanks to the effort of DeMar DeRozan, the Lakers went to Anthony Davis to close the game out.

AD checked back in during the 7:38 mark and proceeded to score 14 points, including a big three over Domantas Sabonis to make it 128-123 Lakers with 38 seconds left.

Together, LeBron and AD combined for 30 of the Lakers’ 44 fourth-quarter points on perfect 11/11 shooting.

James finished with a triple-double of 32 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists, while AD scored 30+ for the third straight game with 31 points, nine rebounds, three steals, and two blocks.

All five Laker starters were in double figures, with Rui Hachimura getting 18 points, and the backcourt tandem of Austin Reaves and D’Angelo Russell going for 16 each.

All Sacramento starters were also in double digits, led by 29 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists from Sabonis. De’Aaron Fox added 28 points and 10 assists, but the Kings dropped to 0-2 for the year with the loss.

DeRozan fired 23 points, 13 in the fourth quarter.
