The Los Angeles Lakers have traded D’Angelo Russell back to the Brooklyn Nets for Dorian Finney-Smith and Shake Milton, with both teams making the deal official Monday (PHL).
Maxwell Lewis is also part of the deal, and the Lakers likewise send three 2nd round picks to Brooklyn as part of the transaction.
Russell, the Lakers’ no. 2 pick of the 2015 Draft and franchise record holder for three-points made in a single season, averages 12.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 4.7 assists this year. He was also traded from the Lakers to the Nets in 2017.
Lewis appeared in 41 games for the Lakers after being drafted 40th overall in 2023.
Meanwhile, Finney-Smith is averaging 10.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.6 assists this season. Before the Nets, he played six and a half seasons with the Dallas Mavericks.
Milton is going for 7.4 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 2.4 assists this year. He spent his first five seasons in Philadelphia, before stints with Minnesota, Detroit, and New York.
