Making 69 for Mavericks' third straight win

First of all, nice basketball.

Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic combined for 69 points as the Dallas Mavericks beat the Minnesota Timberwolves, 115-108.

It's their third win in a row proving that hey, Luka and Kyrie can really make this work.

Irving especially went OFF in the fourth quarter, sinking a three 13 seconds after he entered the court to tie the ball game at 106-all. He promptly lost the ball to Rudy Gobert, but stole it right back in less than a minute for another three-pointer.

Irving tallied 35 points, along with eight rebounds, five assists, three steals, and two blocks.

"We knew we were undersized," Irving said after the game, going up against the taller Gobert and Karl-Anthony Towns.

"Rebounding and doing the little things. Little things got us the win today."

Luka Doncic added 34 points, six rebounds, eight assists, and a steal to help the Mavericks climb to 22-15.

Meanwhile, Anthony Edwards' double-double production of 36 points and 10 rebounds went for naught as the Timberwolves drop to 25-10.

Lakers cool Clippers in Battle of LA

Smile for the poster!

LeBron James delivered what is arguably the play of the game as the Lakers beat the Clippers, 106-103, in the Battle of Los Angeles.

James tallied 25 points, along with eight rebounds, seven assists, and one steal. While Anthony Davis pitched in with a double-double effort of 22 points, 10 rebounds, one assist, and three steals.

The game was tied at 98-all with 2:19 left on the clock. Taurean Prince drilled a three, and James sank a fadeaway to snatch the lead with 41 seconds remaining. James Harden kept the Clippers close with his own fadeaway, and Norman Powell had a chance to make a game-tying three but missed.

The Lakers improved to 18-19, while the Clippers dropped to 22-13.

Shout out to the young guns

RJ Barrett is tough. And he likes it tough. Imagine dropping 37 points for the Toronto Raptors in a 133-118 win against the Golden State Warriors.

It's all kinds of season-high for the Raptors, with Barrett's 37-point production, along with six rebounds, and six assists. Also making season-high tallies were Immanuel Quickley with 10 dimes and Chris Boucher with 17 points to help the Raptors climb to 15-21.

Klay Thompson had 25 points and three assists in Golden State's losing effort, as the Warriors go down to 17-19.

Also making season-high 37 points this Monday is Jamal Murray as the Denver Nuggets beat the Detroit Pistons, 131-114.

The Mile High challenge has never been tougher as Nikola Jokic tied his career-high five swipes.

The Nuggets go up to 26-12, half a game out of the first seed in the Western Conference, while the Pistons fall further to 3-33.

Finally, we pour one out to Paolo Banchero who made his second consecutive 35+ point and 10+ rebound game.

He just had to make 35 points and 10 rebounds, especially with former Magic star Tracy McGrady out in the front.

The Magic outlasted the Hawks in overtime, 117-110. Orlando goes up to 21-15, while the Hawks drop to 14-21.
