The 28-year-old became the third straight guard to win the Jerry West trophy after Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry (2024) and San Antonio Spurs’ DeAaron Fox (2023).
He earned 70 first place votes for a total of 426 points, beating three-time MVP Nikola Jokic (312) and Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards (47).
A global media panel of 100 voters selected the winner of the 2024-25 Kia NBA Clutch Player of the Year Award based on nominations from NBA head coaches.

Brunson averaged a league-best 5.6 clutch points per game, which is defined as the final five minutes of the fourth quarter or overtime when the score is within five points.
The Knicks went 17-11 in 28 clutch games this season, where their lefty guard shot 51.5% from the field, made the most field goals (52), and ranked second in total points with 156.
Overall, Brunson logged 26.0 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 7.3 assists in 65 regular season games en route helping the Knicks finish as the East third seed with a 51-31 win-loss record.
