It wasn’t the outcome Klay Thompson and the Dallas Mavericks quite expected but it was a sight to see him in a different kit other than a Golden State uniform.

Thompson made his much-awaited Mavericks debut and scored 10 points in Dallas' 107-102 loss against the Utah Jazz in NBA preseason action on Friday, October 11 (PH Time).

Daniel Gafford paced the reigning Western Conference champion with 15 markers while Irving and Jaden Hardy chipped in 12 points apiece. Superstar Luka Doncic did not play.

In Milwaukee, Rui Hachimura tallied a team-high 14 points and the Lakers used a strong fourth quarter to turn back Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bucks, 107-102.

Bobby Portis led the way for Milwaukee with 23 points while Antetokounmpo added 20 and AJ Johnson churned out 13 markers.

Pacers, Hornets, Thunder complete NBA preseason day no. 7 winners

Benedict Mathurin is one thing to watch out for the Indiana Pacers moving forward.

Mathurin dropped 25 points with five triples in just 18 minutes to power the Pacers to a 129-117 dub over the Cleveland Cavaliers to tally their first win.

Myles Turner and Jarace Walker each scored 12 points each for Indiana, who avenged their heartbreaking 131-130 defeat against the Atlanta Hawks.

Ty Jerome took the scoring cudgels for the Cavaliers with 15 markers and eight dimes, Craig Porter Jr. had 14 points and big man Jarrett Allen contributed 13 as Cleveland dropped their second-straight game.

In Memphis, Brandon Miller led four Charlotte players in twin digits as the Hornets blasted the Grizzlies, 119-94.

Meanwhile, all Thunder starters scored in double-digits as Oklahoma City cruised to a 117-89 demolition of the New Zealand Breakers.

Adam Flagler led the way for OKC with a team high 25 points with the rest of starting five in Ousmane Dieng, Dillon Jones, Malevy Leons and Alex Ducas combined for 72 points.

Matthew Mooney got things going for the Breakers with 19 markers while Parker Jackson-Cartwright and Mojave King added 16 points apiece.

OKC now improved to 2-1 win-loss card and will face the Denver Nuggets next.
