Filipino global hoops star Kai Sotto will see action in the upcoming NBA 2K24 Summer League.
The Orlando Magic released its initial 22-man roster for the summer tournament in Las Vegas, which includes the 7-3 Sotto.
Headlining the squad are Anthony Black and Jett Howard, who are the sixth and 11th overall picks, respectively, in the 2023 NBA Draft. Also scheduled to play are Caleb Houstan and Kevon Harris, who were part of last season’s Orlando squad.
Coaching the team is Dylan Murphy, who is the newly-named head coach of Orlando’s NBA G League affiliate Osceola Magic.

The NBA 2K24 Summer League will run from July 7 to 17 with the Magic playing its first game against Detroit on Sunday Manila time.
All 30 NBA teams will play at least five games each with the top four teams advancing to the playoffs.
Sotto was invited to play for the Magic days after the NBA Draft. According to an earlier report, he received interest from three or four other teams as well.
Before getting the Orlando gig, Sotto suited up for the Hiroshima Dragonflies in Japan's B.League, where he averaged 9.5 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.4 blocks, and 1.4 assists per game.
