The Utah Jazz guard came to the rescue of a Filipino food truck that was vandalized with anti-Asian graffiti.

Utah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson came to the aid of a Filipino food truck that was a victim of racist vandalism in Salt Lake City the past week.

The Filipino-American went to social media to express his heartfelt disappointment about the incident involving the World Famous Yum Yum Food Truck, which serves Filipino street food and traditional recipes, and the Asian community as a whole.

Clarkson showed a picture of the vandalized truck which portrayed an ethnic slur in bold letters as well as a racist image.

"If you want me to be real honest, my first reaction was, 'This is bulls---!’” Clarkson said in an interview with ESPN.

"There's just no room for that," Clarkson went on, "especially right now. It's been tough, tough years on this earth, this country, this world. There's a lot of stuff going on. I feel like us together, and everybody finding a peace, will make things a lot more comforting in this world. We ain't got no room for the hate no more. That's got to go out of the window real quick.”

Clarkson teamed up with a local car decal company, Identity Graphx, to restore the truck and give it a new look. He shared the freshly designed truck bearing the colors of the Philippine flag.

"I really can't describe how much this means to us right now,” the food truck’s Instagram post wrote. "I am overwhelmed that in the midst of playoffs #jordanclarkson took time to support our food truck and is having the wrap done on our truck.”

In another social media post, the World Famous Yum Yum Food Truck thanked Clarkson, Identity Graphx, as well as Layton Mayor Joy Petro, and city council members Clint Morris and Zach Bloxham. It also announced that it will have a grand reopening this coming weekend in line with the Philippine Independence Day celebration.

Clarkson and the Jazz even invited the owners and its staff for Game 2 of their semifinals matchup against the LA Clippers.

As word got around that Clarkson helped the local food truck, the newly awarded Sixth Man of the Year posted: “Blessing!! Will stop by soon to get a plate!!”
