Following a rather eventful last few games, the NBA have handed out fines to multiple personalities, as announced by Executive Vice President and Head of Basketball Operations Joe Dumars.
Boston Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla received a $35,000 fine for aggressively pursuing and directing inappropriate language toward a game official, following the Celtics’ Dec. 19 loss to the Chicago Bulls.
Utah’s Jordan Clarkson was also fined $35,000 for escalating and on-court altercation and throwing his headband into the stands after an ejection.
Clarkson was involved in an incident with Ron Holland II and Paul Reed. The Detroit Pistons duo did not escape sanction, with Holland II receiving a $25,000 fine for escalating an on-court altercation, and Reed fined $15,000 for initiating the said altercation.
The incident happened in the Jazz’s Dec. 19 win in Detroit.
Finally, Brooklyn Nets center Nic Claxton was fined $25,000 for throwing the game ball to the stands during the Dec. 19 game against the Toronto Raptors.
