The All-Star forward is expected to have surgery later this week to repair a torn ligament in his left wrist.

Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown has been diagnosed with a torn ligament in his left wrist that requires season-ending surgery, the team announced on Monday.


Brown is expected to have the ligament surgically repaired this week, according to the team.

The 24-year-old forward averaged a career-high 24.7 points with 6.0 rebounds and 3.4 assists over 58 games this season.

The Celtics (35-33) are currently the 7th seed in the Eastern Conference standings.
