The Hawks made sure to make full use of a given opportunity in the still-young NBA season.

Atlanta dominated a depleted Pelicans team, scoring a 126-111 win over New Orleans Monday (PHL) to snap a four-game losing skid.

Jalen Johnson led the Hawks with 29 points, nine rebounds, eight assists, two steals, and two blocks as Atlanta moved to 3-4 for the year.

Trae Young added 23 points and 12 assists, while Larry Nance Jr. was good for 14 points against his former team.

Brandon Ingram scored 32 points for New Orleans, but the Pelicans missed a bunch of significant names, chief among them being Zion Williamson who was out due to hamstring issues.

Herbert Jones, CJ McCollum were also recently out, while Dejounte Murray and Trey Murphy III are also still out of action.

The loss dropped New Orleans to a similar 3-4 record in the Western Conference.
