Rookie Jalen Green scored a career-high 32 points in the Rockets' overtime win over the Lakers.

After suffering 12 straight losses, the Houston Rockets have won two of their last three games. Their latest win came at the expense of the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday (PHT).

The Rockets, who are currently last in the Western Conference, took LeBron James and the struggling Lakers to overtime and got a 139-130 victory at home.

Instrumental in the huge win was Rockets star Jalen Green. The Filipino-American rookie exploded for a career-high 32 points, shooting 62 percent from the field while adding three rebounds, three assists, and a block.

In the extra five minutes, Green scored 10 points—including two 3s—that helped seal the game for the Rockets. In the post-game interview, Green said he was just rewarding the team in the endgame with the trust they gave him.

“It felt good. They kept feeding me. Told me to keep attacking until they stop me. So that’s what I did. The basket felt super big tonight," he said.

"The game plan was to attack [Carmelo Anthony] and put him in isolation. My teammates kept feeding me. On top of that, we all hit shots so it all worked out."

Green has now reached double-digit scoring in 18 straight games and has scored over 20 points in seven of the Rockets' last nine games.

"My confidence is high. And we're trying to end the season the best way we can."

Green and the Rockets hope they can build on the huge overtime win when they host Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks tomorrow.
