Facing elimination, Fred VanVleet and the second-seeded Houston squad remained unfazed.

The Rockets' first road playoff win of the series couldn't have come at a better time.

VanVleet uncorked a series-high 29 points, spearheading Houstons’ pivotal 115-107 triumph over the Golden State Warriors on Saturday (PH time), May 3, to force a sudden-death Game 7.

That epic West opening-round finale takes place on Monday (PH time), May 5 with the winner facing the Minnesota Timberwolves in the semifinals.

The champion guard added eight assists, eight rebounds, and drilled six threes en route to another sensational playoff performance. After being limited to a combined 34 points through Games 1-3, VanVleet scored 25 points or more in his last three outings.

Alperen Sengun added a solid 20-point, 14-rebound, six-assist statline as Houston now won two straight games after being down 3-1 in the series.

Meanwhile, Stephen Curry posted 29 markers, seven rebounds, and six threes in a losing effort for the Warriors.

Jimmy Butler supplied 27 points, but Golden State missed 11 of their first 12 shots in the fourth en route to their first home playoff loss this season.

Golden State is 6-5 all-time in Game 7’s including winning three of their last four. Houston, meanwhile, holds a 7-5 slate.
