The Miami Heat just handed the Boston Celtics their fifth home loss of the season.

Tyler Herro came up big to lead a red-hot Heat shooting past the Celtics in Game 2.

All season-long, the Boston Celtics ran past opponents after opponents with their elite three-point shooting.

Tyler and the Miami Heat made sure the Celtics tasted a dose of their own medicine.

Herro scored 24 points built on a playoff career-high six triples and the Miami Heat knocked down a franchise postseason-high 23 three pointers en route to a big 111-101 Game 2 win over the Boston Celtics, pulling even in Eastern Conference first-round series.

The former Sixth Man of the Year added five rebounds and also dished out 14 assists, another career playoff-high, as the Heat scored their first win against Celtics in five tries this season.

Leading by six at 97-91, Jaime Jaquez drilled Miami’s record-setting triple on the right wing off a Herro dime, to make it 100-91 with 5:37 left in regulation.

Caleb Martin then knocked down Miami’s 23rd three-pointer with three minutes left for a 105-96 Heat lead.

Bam Adebayo had a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds with Martin also chipping 21 and Jaquez had 14.

The Heat started hot and went on to record 12 triples already in the first half but still trailed 61-58 at the half.

But the reigning Eastern Conference champion, still playing without superstar Jimmy Butler and Terry Rozier, outscored the Celtics, 53-40, in the second half for a monumental road win.

On the other hand, Jaylen Brown led the way for Boston with 33 points while Jayson Tatum had 28 and Derrick White added 13.

After an 18-point Game 1, Kristaps Porzingis only scored six points with a single field goal made.

Earlier, Brown scored 11 straight points in a sizzling personal run as the Celtics turned a 55-50 deficit to a 61-58 halftime lead.

The Celtics got their last taste of lead at 65-62 after a Brown bucket early in the third frame.

Game 3 of the series now shifts to Miami on April 28, Sunday (Philippine time) with the series tied at one game apiece. It will air at 6 a.m. LIVE on NBA TV Philippines and the Pilipinas Live app.
