Shai Gilgeous-Alexander did everything for the Oklahoma City Thunder as they start with a 3-0 record, beating the Atlanta Hawks, 128-104, at the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City on Monday morning (PH time)

Gilgeous-Alexander had 35 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists, one assist short of what could’ve been his third career triple-double as he helped the home team pull away from Trae Young and the Hawks in the fourth quarter.

The Canadian guard spearheaded a pivotal 13-0 run in the fourth quarter to overturn a 91-92 deficit against Atlanta, holding their foes scoreless for more than three minutes to seize complete control of the game.

The Thunder rallied in the final canto to outscore the Hawks, 39-18, overall for the 24-point victory.

After tallying more than 30 points and 10 assists in his first two games of the year, Young was held to 24 points and eight dimes in the losing effort where he also struggled to get any support from his teammates.

Garrison Mathews was the second leading scorer for the Hawks with 14 markers. Atlanta dropped to 2-1 with the loss.

Meanwhile, the Thunder had three other players in double-digit scoring apart from Gilgeous-Alexander.

Chet Holmgren was one rebound short of a double-double with 25 points, nine rebounds, four assists, one steal, and six blocks in a masterclass on defense.

Jalen Williams and Luguentz Dort chipped in 20 and 16 markers, respectively.

In the other games, the Brooklyn Nets broke through for their first win of the year with a 115-102 win over the Milwaukee Bucks. Cam Thomas top-scored with 32 points.

Other results saw the Portland Trailblazers take the win over New Orleans, 125-103, while the Philadelphia 76ers outlasted the Indiana Pacers in overtime, 118-114, behind Tyrese Maxey’s 45 points.
