Giannis Antetokounmpo made 36 points from 14-of-19 field goals, along with 18 rebounds, five assists, three steals, and two blocks.

The Milwaukee Bucks exacted their revenge against the defending champions Denver Nuggets with a dominant 112-95 victory on Tuesday (PHL time) at the Fiserv Forum.

The Bucks came out of the gates hot, building a slim lead over the Nuggets by the end of the first quarter.

Milwaukee’s defense then took over as they limited Denver to just 21 points in the second quarter to build a double-digit lead heading into the half.

This was the story as well in the second half with the Bucks continuing to pour on from the field en route to the comfortable victory.

This is the second straight game where the Bucks held their opponents below 100 points.

Giannis Antetokounmpo had a game-high 36 points on a remarkable 73.6% shooting, to go along with his 18 rebounds and five assists. This was the ninth time this season Antetokounmpo shot 70% from the field.

Damian Lillard scored 18 points, while Bobby Portis added 13 off the bench. Nikola Jokic, meanwhile, led the Nuggets with 29 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists.

Before the victory, Milwaukee had lost five of their first six games under new coach Doc Rivers.

The Bucks now stand firm in third place in the Eastern Conference with a 35-19 record.

The Nuggets, on the other hand, dropped their second-straight game for a 36-18 record in the West.
