Gilas Pilipinas Men bowed out of contention in the FIBA Basketball World Cup after losing to Italy, 90-83, on Tuesday.
The Philippines dropped its third straight game, going winless in the group stage.
Jordan Clarkson posted a game-high 23 points and had seven rebounds, and six assists but it wasn't enough to give Gilas its first win of the tournament.
The Jazz star just went 8-of-20 from the field, including 1-of-7 from downtown, and committed four turnovers.
With the loss, the Philippines failed to advance to the second round.
Carrying the Italians was Clarkson's Jazz teammate, Simone Fontecchio, who scored a team-high 18 points and grabbed six boards. Italy finished group play with a 2-1 record and moved onto the second round along with Dominican Republic.
The Philippines still has a chance at securing an Olympics spot if it finishes as the highest-ranked Asian team in the tournament.
