Former Timberwolves top pick Felton Spencer has died at the age of 55. The veteran center played a total of 12 NBA seasons with the Jazz, Warriors, Knicks, Magic, and Spurs.

Felton Spencer was a Louisville standout before he was drafted with the No. 6 pick in the 1990 NBA Draft. Spencer averaged a total of 5.2 points and 5.4 rebounds throughout his tenure in the NBA.

After being drafted by and playing for Minnesota, Spencer briefly became the starting center for contending Jazz teams in the mid-1990s. He averaged 7.9 points and 8.4 rebounds in the 1994 playoffs, where Utah advanced to the Western Conference finals before bowing 4-1 to the eventual champion Houston Rockets.
