The NBA, in collaboration with the country's leading basketball specialty store TITAN, has officially opened the first-ever NBA Community Court in the Philippines.
Here's everything you need to know about the NBA's new initiative.
What is the NBA Community Court?
The NBA Community Court presented by TITAN features an indoor basketball court inside Reyes Gym, which is one of the country's most iconic and pioneering sports venues located at Domingo M. Guevara St. in Mandaluyong City.
The NBA Community Court aims to build local basketball communities within Metro Manila. Fans and aspiring players can play basketball at the NBA Community Court for FREE throughout the year.
When is the NBA Community Court open?
Starting May 27, the NBA Community Court will be open daily from 6:00 AM - 11:00 PM. Players can use the court for FREE during NBA Community Hours, which are on weekdays from 6:00 - 8:00 AM and 2:00 - 6:00 PM and weekends from 6:00 - 10:00 AM.
How can I book a slot during NBA Community Hours?
Players can book a maximum of two NBA Community Hours per day and reserve from the available timeslots up to one week in advance by contacting Reyes Gym at +639602594200 from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
Do I need to do anything before I can play at the NBA Community Court?
Players are required to bring a valid ID and proof of vaccination and sign a waiver before using the court.
In addition, players—and even spectators—availing of NBA Community Hours are required to register or present their NBA ID, the league’s global membership program which offers fans benefits and rewards.
What else can we expect at the NBA Community Court?
The NBA Community Court will stage youth and coaches clinics, exhibition games, and tournaments over the next few months. Jr. NBA activities, including the Jr. NBA Elite Development Camp, will also be hosted there.
The NBA will also conduct "Her Time To Play" activities at the NBA Community Court to inspire girls ages 7-17 to learn and play the sport in a positive and healthy way, as well as increase opportunities for women in coaching and athletic leadership.
