The Dallas Mavericks have been in a tailspin since they traded for Kyrie Irving.
The trade built a lot of playoff expectations with a dynamic duo of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving in their fold, but that tandem has't been successful in getting the Ws for Dallas.
?They were on a three-game losing streak before beating the Pacific-leading Sacramento Kings behind 31 points from Irving and 29 from Doncic.
Right now, the Mavericks are a half-game behind the OKC Thunder, who are in 10th place (39-42) with one game remaining. That's why a win over the Bulls could boost the Mavs' chances of securing a spot in the Play-In Tournament.
Star matchup
All eyes will be on Doncic (Mavs) and Zach Lavine (Bulls). Doncic has been averaging 32.7 points on 49.7 percent shooting and has the chance to win the scoring title this season.
Lavine, on the other hand, produces 24.4 points and 2.9 rebounds for the Bulls on a nightly basis. Over the past 10 games, the Bulls guard has been shooting 51.4 percent from the field.
