What’s up with the Charlotte Hornets?
The Hornets (3-9) are currently at the bottom of the Eastern Conference and on a six-game losing slump. One source of struggle for them is their offense - they have averaged only about 98 points in the last five matches.
In their loss against the Wizards, Charlotte shot only 41.6 percent from the field. P.J Washington and Kelly Oubre Jr. tried their best to lift their team with 25 and 20 points, respectively. In their next game, they suffered another setback to the Portland Trail Blazers after another horrible shooting night with 37 percent.
Charlotte is looking to get a win but they’ll have a tough time producing offense against Miami, which is known for its defense.
What’s up with the Miami Heat?
Miami’s start isn’t really the best, winning only four out of eleven games so far. The Heat lost in disappointing fashion to Portland in its previous outing. They blew a fourth-quarter lead to lose at the buzzer on a 3-pointer by Josh Hart. Miami led by eight after three quarters but just couldn’t keep it up down the stretch.
Even though they shot well from the field, their defense crumbled and still allowed Portland to shoot 52.8 percent. Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, and Max Strus each had 16 points in the match.
Prediction
Charlotte and the Heat are both coming from losses so it’s expected they would really give their all in the matchup tomorrow. However, Charlotte is battling fatigue as they are coming off the first of a back-to-back and their third game in four nights. They are also going head-to-head with a strong lineup with Butler leading while their injury woes continue.
