Trae Young and the Hawks hope to end LaMelo Ball and the Hornets’ five-game winning streak when they come to town.

The streaking Charlotte Hornets head to State Farm Arena to take on the Atlanta Hawks tomorrow at 8:30 AM, live on NBA TV Philippines (available on Smart’s GigaPlay app and Cignal TV).

The Hornets have won five games in a row, the most recent one coming at the expense of the Indiana Pacers. This season, Charlotte has been playing impressive basketball and is second-best in the league in scoring and fourth-best in sharing the ball.

Meanwhile, Atlanta is also coming into this matchup with a winning streak of its own. The Hawks are coming off a huge 110-99 win over the Boston Celtics on Thursday and hope to keep the momentum going when they host the Hornets tomorrow.

But most eyes will be on the star matchup at the point guard position between LaMelo Ball and Trae Young. Both players are great playmakers who not only can get their respective teammates involved, but can also knock down shots when needed.

Ball has been averaging 18.8 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 7.5 assists. He also gets 2.1 steals a game and shoots a respectable 38 percent from deep. Against the Pacers, Ball had a near triple-double of 32-11-8, making 12 of-22 shots.

Young, on the other hand, has season averages of 25.1 points, 3.5 boards, and 9.2 dimes, and shoots 45 percent from the field. He is coming off an 18-point, 11-assist performance in a win over the Celtics.

Which star guard can carry his team to victory? Guess we’ll have to find out tomorrow.

Sidenote: After the Hornets-Hawks game, NBA TV Philippines will also air the matchup between the Philadelphia 76ers and Portland Trail Blazers at 11:00 AM.
