The Miami Heat will be going against the Boston Celtics tomorrow for their second meeting. In their previous matchup, the Celtics beat the Heat, 134-121.
What’s up with the Miami Heat?
The Heat are 10-11 right now and are 2-7 on the road. You would expect them to be super familiar with Boston’s playing style since they played a seven-game series in the Eastern Conference Finals just last year.
The Celtics have the upper hand in this matchup but the Heat have the potential to play a good game when most of their players are contributing. Bam Adebayo is coming into the contest averaging 35 points and 10 rebounds from his last two games. If they want to secure a dub against a top team like the Celtics, they would need to rely on Adebayo again if Jimmy Butler, whose status remains uncertain, misses another game.
What’s up with the Boston Celtics?
Boston (18-4) has been nothing but strong so far this season, sitting comfortably at the NBA summit. They’ve been victorious in four of their last five duels and we don’t see any signs of them slowing down anytime soon. Boston has gone 10-1 at home and is shaping up to be a title contender once again.
In their last meeting, Jayson Tatum had one of his best outings this season as he finished with 49 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Jaylen Brown gave the running MVP candidate some assistance with 26 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. Marcus Smart also had a good night with a near double-double of 10 points and nine assists.
Prediction
Tatum and his scorching performance lately will definitely be the Heat’s main defensive assignment. We’re sure that the Heat is going to do everything they can to stop his hot shooting but even though they’ll be successful in limiting his attempts, the Celtics could easily find offense elsewhere.
Seeing the Celtics running the Heat over one more time doesn’t seem impossible especially if Butler sits this one out.
