Jalen Green sinks game-winning FTs as Rockets stun Warriors, advance to NBA Cup semis

For the first time since February 2020, the Houston Rockets toppled the Golden State Warriors, ending a 15-game losing skid.

From H-Town to Las Vegas. 

Jalen Green nailed two clutch free throws with 3.5 seconds left and the Houston Rockets overcame a six-point lead in the final 1:20 ticks of the game to stun the Golden State Warriors, 91-90. They advance into the NBA Cup semifinals. 

Houston ended the game on a 7-0 run and sealed a trip to Las Vegas with a clutch Tari Eason block on Brandin Podiemski’s game-winning attempt. 

Alperen Sengun led the Rockets with a 26-point, 11-rebound double-double and Jabari Smith Jr. chipped in 15 more. 

With the win, the Rockets arrange a semifinal duel against the West-leading Oklahoma City Thunder. 

Meanwhile, Jonathan Kuminga led the Warriors with 20 markers while Stephen Curry added 19. 

Buddy Hield contributed 15 markers for Golden State on the night he became the 17th player in league history to hit 2,000 career threes.
