Rudy Gobert produced 17 points and added four blocks to Minnesota’s season-high 11 rejections. Karl-Anthony Towns contributed 14 points and two blocks of his own as the Timberwolves keep pace with the Oklahoma City Thunder in what has become a tight race for the West's no. 1 seed.
In the telling third quarter, Alperen Sengun, Dillon Brooks, and Jabari Smith Jr. were in foul trouble for Houston. Edwards took advantage and sparked a 16-2 run that put the Wolves by as many as 25.
Sengun had a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Rockets. Fred VanVleet scored 11 and got four blocks. Cam Whitmore scored 14 off the bench in the blowout loss.
