Chicago Bulls guard DeMar DeRozan has been placed in the NBA’s Health and Safety Protocols, it was announced by the team in Monday’s injury report.
DeRozan, who was named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week earlier in the day, is likely to miss several games as he goes through the league’s protocols. He has been ruled out for Monday’s game against Denver.
DeRozan is averaging 26.4 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.1 assists this season with Chicago. The Bulls (16-8) are only a half game behind the Brooklyn Nets for the No. 1 seed in the East standings.
