For the first time in his pro career, De'Aaron Fox will play in a team not named the Sacramento Kings.
Fox embarks on a fresh new start in San Antonio after being part of a multi-team trade that sent the former All-Star guard to the Spurs to team up with Victor Wembanyama.
Another high-profile name in Zach LaVine was also part of the deal, moving on from the Chicago Bulls to join the Kings.

The lefty guard penned a farewell message to the team he spent his first eight seasons with and its fan base.
"I can't quite find the words to express what I want to say, but thank you. Coming in as a 19-year-old kid and leaving as a 27-year-old man, I'm grateful I got to spend the beginning of my young adulthood here. The love for the city is unmatched,” Fox wrote on Instagram.
He added: "To the fans—y'all deserve the best. I wanted to end my career here and never expected it would end this way, but I'll always be grateful for your support. Thank you for the love you've showed me and my family. Sacramento will always hold a special place in my heart."
The fifth overall pick in the 2017 Draft, Fox emerged as one the most exciting young players across the league and became a key cog in the Kings ending a 17-year playoff drought in the 2022-23 season.
That year saw the former University of Kentucky product was named to the All-NBA Third Team, the NBA All-Star team, and copped the inaugural Clutch Player of the Year Award.
Across 514 career games, Fox averaged 21.5 points, 6.1 assists and 3.9 rebounds in 500 starts for the Kings.
This time, he'll join forces with Wembanyama and future Hall of Famer Chris Paul in San Antonio.
