Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard will undergo surgery to address a lingering abdominal injury, according to multiple reports.
He will be reevaluated in at least six to eight weeks following the procedure, per Yahoo Sports’ Chris Haynes.
Lillard, who has dealt with the injury since the Tokyo Olympics last summer, has been out of Portland’s lineup since the calendar flipped to 2022. He last played on Dec. 31 in a road loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.
The six-time All-Star is averaging 24.0 points, 4.1 rebounds and 7.3 assists across 29 appearances this season. He has missed 11 games.
The Blazers are 16-24 and 10th in the Western Conference.
