Aaron Gordon rescued the Denver Nuggets anew.

Gordon hit the game-winning triple with 2.8 seconds left, capping off a wild 121-119 Nuggets comeback over the OKC Thunder to draw first blood in their West semifinal showdown on Tuesday (PH time), May 6.

After trailing by nine points with under three minutes left, the Nuggets rode a 16-4 run to steal the victory in a cardiac fashion.

Chet Holmgren missed two free throws late that allowed Christian Braun to get the rebound, found a sprinting Russel Westbrook downhill that eventually set-up Gordon’s heroics.

Nikola Jokic erupted for a monster 42-point, 22-rebound, and six-assist outing with Gordon tallying 16 markers and 14 boards.

Game 2 is scheduled on Thursday (PH time), May 8 with Denver vying for a 2-0 series lead.

Meanwhile, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander paced OKC with 29 points as Alex Caruso chipped in 20 markers off the bench.

The Thunder led by as many as 14 points, but dropped their first playoff game after sweeping past the first round against the Memphis Grizzlies.
