Jordan Clarkson wasted no time making history in 2024.

The former NBA Sixth Man of the Year recorded his first-ever career triple-double, pacing the Utah Jazz to a strong 127-90 over the visiting Dallas Mavericks.

Clarkson’s 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists also ended a near 16-year drought for the Jazz franchise as, JC’s final rebound with 2:29 to go clinched the first triple-double by a Utah player since Carlos Boozer in 2008.

Utah’s 37-point win over the Mavericks prove to be a nice comeback to tie the season series. Dallas won the first meeting by 50 in early December.

Aside from Clarkson, five other players scored in double figures led by 24 from Simone Fontecchio. Lauri Markkanen added 17, while John Collins (15 points), Keyonte George (14 points), and Walker Kessler (11 points) complete the nice team effort for the Jazz, who are 7-3 in their last 10 for 15-19 overall in the packed West.

Luka Doncic led the Mavs with 19 points, 14 rebounds, and six assists, but just shot 6 of 20 from the field.
