Cade Cunningham recorded a stellar triple-double to propel the Detroit Pistons to a 123-114 victory over the Toronto Raptors at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit on Saturday night (Sunday, Manila time).

Cunningham tallied 22 points, 17 assists, and 10 rebounds, solidifying his place in franchise lore with the second-most triple-doubles in Pistons history.

The surging Pistons leaned on Cunningham’s leadership late in the game.

A short jumper from the star guard gave Detroit a 113-109 edge with 3:48 left, capitalizing on missed free throws by the Raptors which allowed the Pistons to seize control after a deadlock at 109-all.

Tim Hardaway Jr. also starred for Detroit, pouring in 27 points as the team notched its ninth win in 11 games for a 20-19 record.

Toronto was led by Immanuel Quickley’s 25 points in the losing effort, but couldn’t snap a five-game losing streak.

The Raptors are in the midst of a free fall in the standings as they have now lost 16 of their last 17 games in a dreadful 8-31 showing so far this season.
