While the 37-12 Boston Celtics have the best record in the East, head coach Joe Mazzulla in ineligible after coaching in the All-Star Game last year.
With a 33-16 record, Milwaukee is presently second in the East. The Dallas win is actually Rivers' first since he took over for the Bucks. Milwaukee is 1-2 with Doc at the helm.
This upcoming All-Star Game set for February 18 will be the fourth time Rivers will coach in the annual mid-season event, previously doing so in 2008, 2011, and 2021.
