Jared Bahay and Quinn Kacey Dela Rosa were recognized as two of the top 16 ballers at the Basketball Without Borders Asia 2022 camp.

The final day of Basketball Without Borders (BWB) Asia 2022 began with the campers taking part in a Q&A with NBA players Jarrett Allen, Josh Green, Cameron Johnson and Coby White, and former WNBA player and 4-time Olympic medalist Kristi Harrower.

During the session, Harrower shared about her experience representing the Australia Women’s National Team and playing professionally until retiring at 40 years old, while NBA players talked about their different journeys to the league, the difference of basketball across the collegiate and professional levels, and the impact of international players in today’s NBA.

The camp got underway in the morning with playoff games and a 3-point competition that witnessed Gwanwoo Lee from South Korea and Amy Kurkowski from Australia being crowned as boys and girls 3-point Champion, respectively.

Upon the 3-point contest’s conclusion, the championship game of the girls division tipped off with the Washington Mystics (coached by Annie La Fleur) facing the Minnesota Lynx (coached by Harrower) that earned a 53-26 victory, which saw incredible teamwork from the squad. On the boys’ side, the New York Knicks (coached by Adam Tatalovich and Johnson) defeated the Miami Heat (coached by Eric Glass and Green), 39-27, with outstanding play across the team to come out on top.

The 12th BWB Asia camp wrapped up with the Awards Ceremony, which was attended by the Australian Minister of Sport Hon. Anika Wells MP and U.S. Ambassador to Australia Caroline Kennedy. Australians Roman Siulepa and Lulu Laditan were named as Camp MVP for the boys and girls division, respectively.
