Thompson had 21 points alone in the first half built on five triples, as the Warriors banked on a 9-0 run, capped off by a Gary Payton II tip-in, to take a 65-50 halftime lead.

Curry erupted for 17 second-half points but connected on this ridiculous flip over the outstretched arms of Jalen Green early in the opening frame.

All Warriors starters in Curry, Thompson, Andrew Wiggnins, Draymond Green, and Trayce Jackson-Davis accounted for at least a +/- +20 on the floor that gave the Bay Area team a strong hold in the final Play-in Tournament spot at no. 10.
On the other, Jabari Smith Jr. led the way for the Rockets with 24 points, while Cam Whitmore added 17 in their third straight loss after winning 11 straight.
After averaging nearly 31 points on a 50 percent shooting in the last 10 games, highflying guard Jalen Green was limited to just 13 points.

The Rockets simply fell to an early hole and never recovered in a must win game.
After a misfiring first half, Houston came closest to the Warriors at 65-52 with 11:01 left in the third after a pair of Fred VanVleet free throws and played catch-up the rest of the way.
Golden State (42-34) now has a four game lead over Houston (38-38) for the 10th and final spot in the Western Conference Play-In Tournament.
However, the Warriors are just one-and-a-half game back of the ninth-ranked LA Lakers (44-33) in which both teams will play one more time next Wednesday that could possibly determine the no.nine seed heading to the Play-In games.
The Rockets loss though effectively pushes the Dallas Mavericks, the Phoenix Suns, and the New Orleans Pelicans to the top 10.
