Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker has been cleared to play tonight vs. the Miami Heat after missing the last four games because he was in the NBA’s Health and Safety Protocols.
Booker entered the protocols on March 2, missing the Suns’ 120-90 win against the Portland Trail Blazers. Overall, Phoenix went 3-1 during his absence, scoring wins against the New York Knicks (on March 4) and Orlando Magic (March 8) while losing to the Milwaukee Bucks (March 6).
Booker is a three-time All-Star and the team’s leading scorer, averaging 25.6 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.6 assists. The 25-year-old’s absence had been another blow to the Suns, who are still missing fellow All-Star guard Chris Paul.
Paul broke his thumb on Feb. 16 and could miss the rest of the regular season, though the team is hopeful he’ll return before the playoffs. Phoenix has the best record in the NBA at 52-13 and is trying to claim the top spot in the Western Conference playoff race.
