Sexton, who had 8 points and 4 assists in 12 minutes before leaving, was flexing out his knee with team trainer during the first quarter before checking back in. After one play in the second quarter, Sexton was forced to leave the game a few minutes before halftime and didn’t return.
The 22-year-old, who is an integral part of the Cavaliers’ emerging young core, averaged 24.3 points and 4.4 assists last season.
